I have a size 12 foot and so I bought the large. The socks are extremely tight and have almost no elasticity in them. They bind on my ankles and as I walk they go lower and lower on the back until my trainer heel is touching my skin and the sock is bunched up in the back of the shoe. Tight, tight, tight. I am donating them. Worst socks I've ever owned.

This is a comfortable sock for exercise or all-day wear, even on my 4E foot. But, when wearing them for exercise they shed into my shoes more than any sock I've worn recently. They have left enough fibers in my walking and running shoes that I have to clean out the shoes before exercise or it feels like something's under my foot, which can become uncomfortable rather quickly. Other than this they have been nice socks.

I watched a youtube video about "socks" and discovered the are meant to be worn at the base of your legs, so I decided to give them a try. They make it feel like your feet are being enveloped by cotton! Wearing shoes is so much more comfortable with "socks" than without. I ordered the gray ones, which is between black and white. One issue I've had: they pick up a lot of dirt and grime if not worn with shoes outside. Be sure to wear them INSIDE your shoes if you intend to wear them outside.
