This was a very readable translation which, I believe, kept the spirit and the tone of the original as well as possible. For those who are researching mythology, this provides the basis, as far as it goes (Homer has some that this does not, while this has some that Homer does not; and Ovid used sources beyond just these two), for Ovid's Metamorphoses and many other works and plays.
