After researching checked luggage for about 2 months, i settled on this one. It was a wonderful decision. the luggage is lightweight but not flimsy. I'm surprised at how strong the construction looks and feels yet coming in at only 9.9lbs. the ballistic nylon fabric is also quite firm and great looking. the inside compartments are as decribed with hidden suit compartment, 3 shoe sleeves, zippered pocket, tie down straps, fully lined, the zips move well around the tracks, spinner wheels work well-with the luggage fully packed it's not super moving u would need to give it a little extra nudge along. the handle is fine-not very heavy duty but doesn't feel flimsy. this is a good piece of luggage. will update after more uses.
The advancements in material and design of luggage has come a long way in the last few years, and this product line is one of the best available. There are lots of pockets and places to keep things organized.
Unfortunately, I had to return the 28" size because it was just too large for my needs. I think the sizing on the ad was a little deceptive for me for some reason. The return shipping was free and that was a big plus in my decision to reorder a smaller size.
I did buy a smaller one (24") and traveled all over France with it for the last two weeks. It held everything I needed including all my electronics and a heavy voltage transformer, along with all my clothes and shoes. It survived all of the airline and bellman gorillas and still looks new.
I just ordered the 20" size for my local travel needs.
This suitcase is well made, and super light. The wheels spin fabulously and the storage compartments are great. We bought them for a trip in July, so I haven't put them to the "airline" test yet, but I am very happy with them so far.
This is not well built and not good for travel. Its light but not steady and strong. After using it for just 2 trips it completely broke and their warranty is even worse than the product itself. It pretty much does not cover anything. Customer service at Ricardo is another big joke on customers. I would stay away from this and any Ricardo product!
I bought this back in April and just used it. The wheels wouldn't work correctly and I had to struggle with it. I wound up with sore shoulders. If I hadn't thrown away the box and receipt, I would return it. I am very upset.
I bought this to replace an older, beat up, broken suitcase which I have had for several years and traveled around the world with. I have not used this one yet, but it is so much lighter and roomier than my old one. I am sure that I can carry much more than I did before on my trips. Most of my trips are at least 10 days so I needed a larger suitcase. The only downfall is that this suitcase doesn't have a strap to attach another bag. I carry on a small roller case for my DSLR camera plus accessories, and a small netbook. I ended up converting a strap for my extra bag, but I will have to hang it on the handle of this one, I hope it doesn't put too much strain on it. I will be able to judge this more after my next trip which is in the very near future.
