Bought the backpack in late December and have been traveling with it every day since. Last week (June), some areas of the backpack have begun to fray, separating the top handle from the laptop zipper pocket. Although the backpack itself is well designed, if it can't hold my laptop, iPad and chargers, what's the point? I can see this being a good 'pack for those that travel light, but for folks that need a solid backpack that can survive the rigors of business travel twice a month, this isn't the bag for you.

Overall, the backpack is laid out very well and makes good use of space. The TSA friendly laptop pocket is great and there's another pocket up front for your tablet.

The problem I have and the reason it's going back is because the loop strap doesn't fit around my luggage handles. I've tried it on three different suitcases and the strap is too narrow.

This has been a great backpack for work. I just bought a second one - that it was on sale for $42.99 didn't hurt. I would have given it a 5 start rating except for one thing, it has started to fray where the handle is attached to the pack. I saw that someone else referenced this problem as well. I was carrying a heavy 17" laptop and I'm not sure the handle at the top of the pack could handle it. If you carry a heavy load, make sure to use the straps to lift and carry.

It is a little heavy but I think that is the price you pay for all the padding and protection. I would definitely recommend this bag - just be careful picking it up and carrying it by the top handle.

I did an extensive search for replacing my Kensington Messenger bag. In my travels, I looked at a variety of bags at the airports and in the stores. Looking at the Swiss Gear to Targus, the Samsonite Xenon 2 was the only bag that seemed to offer the best protection for my computer and iPad.

So, I settled on the Samsonite Xenon 2 for several reasons. First, it is a beautiful bag that is both professional and functional. It has more than enough space and then some. I have been using it with my work Macbook (15"), but my Macbook Air (11") will be my traveling companion. The checkpoint functionality is a huge plus. All in all, this bag is well made and comfortable to carry.

I was so excited to get this heavy duty backpack, as I take my laptop and many thick books to school everyday. A week after receiving it, I was wearing it and heard a strange ripping sound. The zipper had somehow broken and become undone, and since it runs down to the very bottom of the backpack, the whole thing basically opened up. It almost dumped my laptop onto the ground, and if I hadn't thrown my arms backwards to catch the back of the backpack it would have probably broken. They have a great warranty, so I will give them credit for that. Otherwise I wouldn't recommend it, I've had backpacks for $15 last longer.

I purchased one of these backpacks because the price was very difficult to beat.. I had low expectations for that amount of money- but actually the product was great, very comfortable to travel with. Very well designed pockets allow me to carry comfortably (and easily access) all the gear I can possibly need during a trip to Asia (I work for the high-tech consumer electronics industry, and I fly a lot, carrying all sorts of gadgets)... Quality was very decent, and the design is nice but also low-key, nothing too bombastic to show off with. Which is good, it does not attract any unnecessary attention. The laptop TSA pocket alows me to show my laptop without taking it out of its protecting sleeve, just unzip and open before going through security. Awesome!

I'm a grad student and I recently purchased this bag to carry on days when I have a heavy load. This is a very well organized bag. I can carry a couple of very large plastic binders and still have room for my lunch, as well as my laptop with chargers for the laptop and cell with ease. I found that the key holder would be nice, but not a deal breaker. I simply use the smaller compartment at the top of the bag for keys and place my cell in the lower medium portion of the bag. Problem solved.
