This butter dish was just what I wanted. The butter doesn't touch the sides of the cover and looks neat all the time. I wanted two of them. The item was $10.00 each for a new one. Then they offered two used ones for $15.00. Well, unless they were cracked or chipped, that was a better deal. I have soap and water at my house and could make them good as new.
I bought the two used for $15.00. To me, that means $7.50 each, otherwise, I would have bought the new ones for $10.00.
What I received was one for $15.00! I am not happy and believe me, I won't do any shopping there again. There's also no tele. # that you can call and when I received an e-mail to voice my opinion of this deal, it didn't work. I'm not a happy camper. I'd still like the second butter dish but not for $15.00.

The size of the dish (and lid) is nice and large. We keep our butter out of the refrigerator (we use a lot of it), and the dish insulates the butter pretty well. Butter in the original carton packaging (like what is left out to reach room temperature for baking purposes) ends up softer than what is actually under the lid, which can be great (no gooey butter mess for breakfast toast on warmer days), but also not-so-great (butter is a not as spreadable on cooler winter mornings). Overall though, I like it. :)

Nope, the butter still gets all over no matter how careful I am. It is pretty, but it is quite heavy and big for a one-hand grasp with a woman's hand (and my hands are not small and fingers long). It was pricey but it was a treat for me. I'm about ready to go back to the smaller one. Disappointed.
