First I had to measure my laptop to make sure I was getting the right size. I had to go on YouTube to find a tutorial on how laptops are measured. I received the Lid and it was everything I expected. It fit perfect and I was impressed on the glossy finish and the fast delivery on this item.
Not for Inspiron 14 5482. One question answered suggesting this will fit Dell 5482. These are made to fit lid of -R series Inspiron of particular design only. The clips to hold this lid made only for -R series Inspiron. No modification will make these fit without destroying the beauty of the product. Item delivered quickly, well made, and awesome design, but only fits Inspiron laptops for which they were designed. One star off because one question was answered suggested fit 5482 and no way to delete, dispute, correct, or modify the wrong answer.
I ordered this cover for my daughter's Inspiron 14R laptop. For the price, I think it was a relatively cheap price to personalize her PC. Although I'm a tech guy, the process of switching lids took some figuring out even after reading the instructions, but I eventually got it installed.
