To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I already have a Larger American Tourister suitcase that I bought 11 years ago (love that one, still excellent shape), but I decided for an upcoming shorter 4 day trip, I could do with something smaller. I considered a tote or small duffel of some kind, but nothing really seemed as convenient as the wheeled luggage with handle arrangement (like my larger case). I did look at other brands, and I looked at single wheeled carry-ons and the 2 piece sets. I saw that there are some with 4 wheel arrangements and although I have never used that type, my observations at airports are that I don't think I would like it (with 2 wheels you wheel, stop, stand it up, and it stays where you put it), but that is a personal preference and I am sure there are those that swear by 4 wheelers. After I narrowed the field down, I decided to stick with American Tourister. My other case is blue, but was a different darker colour than what showed in the picture.. however, to my surprise the colour of what was sent to me is a darker blue and almost a perfect match for my other case (your mileage may vary). Although I am pleasantly surprised by the colour match, I don't see myself using both wheel cases at the same time. But I could. and although the matching colour thing doesn't really matter to me, it might to others. I intend to use the wheeled case as carry-on for my trip, but I do not think I will be using the smaller bag this time. The smaller bag is not enormous by any means, but I can see where it would be useful. It has a strap that fits over the handle. If I was going to be another day or two, then I would incorporate it.
This is exactly what I was looking for. The size is perfect for MY use as a Carry On. It is 22 (including the wheals and stand)x14x7. Well within the published acceptable dimensions allowed by Frontier (24x10x16) and United (22x14x9) the two airlines I fly. Sure it may not fit in a Regional Jet overhead but what really does, those bags are always gate checked (dropped and pickup on the Jetway).
A handle on the side would be nice but it was clear from the picture and description that it didn't have it. The inside "liner" is a bit skimpy. Just a single THIN piece of nylon fabric with 4 pieces of Velcro in each corner cover the pull out handle mechanism. Otherwise it is sturdy and the zippers are strong.
